With the launch of ParkMobile in Dallas, residents and visitors will be able to conduct their parking transactions by mobile phone throughout the city

Dallas , TX—Septmeber 12, 2016 – ParkMobile, LLC, the leading provider of mobile-enabled parking and mobility-related services, and City of Dallas announced today that ParkMobile will be the new mobile payments provider for the city starting Monday, September 12th. The company’s mobile payments solution will allow customers to use their mobile phones to pay for parking at approximately 4,500 on street spaces in city. Customers can pay for parking with their smartphones using ParkMobile’s mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and Windows phones.

The city’s current mobile payments provider will no longer be in service, and the ParkMobile service can be used effective the week of September 12, 2016. Parkers should register in advance at by downloading the mobile app in their phone’s app or online at parkmobile.io. Once registered, customers may use the mobile app, internet, or call a toll free number to pay for parking. After setting up their account, they can immediately begin using the system with their registered mobile phone.

This convenient service also provides customers the ability to receive alerts when their meter time is about to expire, extend their time remotely without returning to the meter, utilize credit cards in locations that do not offer manual credit card payments, as well as print and keep receipts for parking. Additionally, enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with ParkMobile using their wireless handheld devices, so customers should not worry when the meter does not change. ParkMobile’s mobile payment solution is an added payment option and is intended to complement existing parking payment options. All existing forms of payment are still valid for use.
