ParkMobile will soon be available at 1,100 on-street and off-street locations across the city, with implementation planned for early 2026

Royal Oaks, MIParkMobile, part of Arrive, will be modernizing parking in Royal Oak. As part of a city-wide initiative, the ParkMobile app is scheduled to become available for drivers on Jan. 1, 2026. Once launched, the app will allow residents and visitors to digitally find and pay for parking at over 1,100 on-street and off-street parking spaces. This digital option will be available in addition to soon-to-be installed pay stations provided by ParkMobile's sister brand, Flowbird.

“ParkMobile values the opportunity to partner with the City of Royal Oak to implement a modernized parking solution," said David Holler, Vice President of Sales at ParkMobile. "As the trusted parking and mobility platform for hundreds of cities across North America, our approach is to streamline parking operations and improve traffic flow. Our platform will provide Royal Oak residents and visitors with a seamless, stress-free parking experience across both on-street and off-street locations."

ParkMobile is focused on expanding its footprint for users across the county. By providing solutions to create an easier parking experience, ParkMobile makes traveling throughout the country more convenient and streamlined.

“We are excited to usher in a new era of parking in our vibrant downtown,” said Deputy City Manager Susan Barkman. “Our new partnership with ParkMobile, a regionally familiar provider, will allow visitors to focus on the area's incredible destinations and activities. With this new partnership, parking will be simple, convenient, and easy to use. It’s a new year, new parking, and a new way to visit Royal Oak.”

ParkMobile is available for both iPhone and Android devices, and can also be accessed on a mobile web browser. Once live, drivers will be able to pay for parking via the ParkMobile app or website. Users will enter the zone number found on the parking meters and signs located within the parking lot, choose the duration of time they wish to park and touch the “start parking” button.
