McCamish Pavilion, an indoor arena located on the Georgia Institute of Technology’s campus in midtown Atlanta, serves as home to the university’s men’s and women’s basketball teams. The arena began operations as the Alexander Memorial Coliseum in 1956. The university closed the facility in 2011 for renovations that took place through November 2012. Upon re-opening, the venue was renamed McCamish Pavilion due to a donation from the family of Hank McCamish. The renovations to McCamish Pavilion resulted in the addition of new club seats, an upper balcony, and concourse attractions.
The venue has hosted high school, college, and professional basketball since its birth. The North Deck/State Street lot features gameday parking west of the venue.

MARTA provides an easy way to reach McCamish Pavilion from other parts of the city. MARTA’s Red and Gold lines run from north to south, connecting the airport, downtown, and northern communities to east-west lines. Visitors to Georgia Tech’s campus can take a train to the North Avenue station. MARTA charges $2.50 per ride with stops at each station every 12 to 15 minutes throughout the day. This transit option creates better parking flexibility for those coming from downtown and other outlying neighborhoods.
