For decades, parking has been a hassle. If you found a spot on the street, you’d have to have exact change and keep coming back to “feed the meter”. Getting a parking ticket was just an annoying part of everyday life. Even as technology advanced in our lives with the internet and smartphones, it seemed that parking would never change.
Then in 2008, Parkmobile launched with a simple mission: make parking easier. Parkmobile’s technology would let people pay for parking right from their phone. As more and more people tried Parkmobile, the old way of parking with meters and coins quickly became obsolete. Today, Parkmobile technology is used in over 3000 locations across the country, including 7 of the top 10 cities as well as college campuses, airports and stadiums. The company grew 180% from 2013 to 2016 and we’re just getting started.
