Find parking near Rueger's Restaurant

Rueger's Restaurant at 901 Bank Street is a Southern-inspired eatery inside The Commonwealth hotel, directly across from the Virginia State Capitol in downtown Richmond. The restaurant continues a historic dining tradition on this site dating back to the mid-1800s, blending local ingredients with modern comfort food in a cozy setting that attracts hotel guests, professionals, and visitors exploring Capitol Square. Because it sits in a busy government and business district where streets can be active throughout the day, planning where to park before you arrive makes your visit smoother and less stressful.

In this central part of Richmond, on-street parking is often limited and subject to time limits and enforcement, especially during weekdays when offices and state buildings are in full use. Nearby blocks can fill quickly, and drivers may encounter metered spaces, residential restrictions, or short-term loading zones, so securing parking near Rueger's Restaurant in advance helps avoid circling the area and missing a reservation. Booking a spot ahead of time is particularly helpful for out-of-town visitors who are unfamiliar with local rules and want a convenient walk to the restaurant and surrounding attractions. Always review the latest city parking regulations and official guidance before you travel, as conditions and rules can change.
