Find parking near Monumental Church

Monumental Church at 1224 E Broad St is a National Historic Landmark in Richmond’s Court End neighborhood, built between 1812 and 1814 as a memorial to the victims of the tragic Richmond Theatre fire. Its striking neoclassical design by architect Robert Mills and its role as a former Episcopal parish make it a meaningful stop for history lovers, architecture fans, and visitors exploring nearby museums and civic buildings. Today, the church is used for tours, educational programs, and intimate events, so visitors often arrive during specific time slots, creating brief surges in local activity.

The church site itself offers only limited parking and sits on busy Broad Street near the VCU Medical Campus, where traffic can be steady and curb space in high demand throughout the day. Street parking in the surrounding area is typically metered or time restricted, and spaces can be difficult to find during weekday business hours and popular visiting times, so planning ahead is essential for anyone looking for parking near Monumental Church. Booking parking in advance helps avoid circling for a spot, keeps your visit on schedule, and makes it easier to enjoy the landmark and the surrounding historic district on foot. Always review current local parking regulations and official city or venue updates before you travel, as rules and availability can change.
