The FW PARK mobile app will provide customers with an alternative payment option at all on-street meters in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth, TX – January 25, 2016— The City of Fort Worth has partnered with ParkMobile, LLC to launch on-street mobile payments throughout the city. The application allows parkers to use their mobile devices to pay for parking at 2,700 on-street parking spaces throughout the city. Customers using the FW PARK app can pay for parking with their smartphones using a free mobile application available from iPhone and Android. Additionally, ParkMobile customers from other cities can pay for parking in Fort Worth using their current ParkMobile account. A toll-free number is also posted on signage for those without a smartphone to make on-street payments.

“Fort Worth continues to invest in experiences that enhance the quality of life for our residents and to attract visitors to the city,” Mayor Betsy Price said. “With the ParkMobile technology, Fort Worth makes paying parking fees easier and more convenient in the heart of the best downtown in America.”

“The City of Fort Worth is excited to offer mobile pay technology through our FW Park app via our partnership with ParkMobile,” added Peter Elliott, Parking Manager for City of Fort Worth. “This adds another payment option for our customers making the act of parking simpler and faster at all our on-street locations.

“We are so happy to partner with the City of Fort Worth to offer mobile payments for parking to residents and visitors using the FW PARK app,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO of ParkMobile, LLC.  “This service makes paying for parking fast and simple, enhancing the customer parking experience. We believe customers will truly appreciate and enjoy the convenience of paying for parking from their smartphones.”

The FW PARK app functions similarly to ParkMobile’s mobile payment system and is simple to use. To set up an account, customers may download the mobile app from the Apple or Google Play store and register using their mobile number. Once registered, parkers can immediately begin using the app with their registered mobile device or call the toll-free number to pay for parking. Additionally, enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with FW PARK using their wireless handheld devices, so customers should not worry when the meter does not change. Mobile app users may also choose to receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes prior to expiration of their parking session.
