The MKE Park mobile app allows customers to use their mobile devices to easily pay for parking – Supplements the use of credit cards or quarters

Milwaukee, WI – April 29, 2015—ParkMobile, LLC and the City of Milwaukee announced today a program that will allow patrons to use their mobile devices to pay for parking in the 6,700 on-street parking spaces throughout the city. The mobile application, called MKE Park, is a customized, white-labeled solution from ParkMobile. Customers using the MKE Park app will be able to pay for parking with their smartphones using mobile applications for iPhone and Android. Additionally, ParkMobile customers from other areas will also be able to pay for parking in Milwaukee using their current ParkMobile account.

“The MKE Park mobile payment application is an innovative, convenient and easy way for City of Milwaukee residents and visitors to pay for parking,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.  “It is another tool – along with using coins and your credit card – for our customers who work, attend classes, shop, and play in Milwaukee

“ParkMobile is so excited to be providing a customized mobile payment application for the City of Milwaukee,” said Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of ParkMobile, LLC.  “We believe customers in Milwaukee will truly appreciate and enjoy the convenience of paying for parking from their smartphones. Without the need to swipe a card or insert coins into a meter, our service makes paying for parking fast and simple, enhancing the customer parking experience.”

The MKE Park app functions similarly to ParkMobile’s mobile payment system and is simple to use. To set up an account, customers can register online at www.MKEpark.com or download the mobile app in their phone’s app store. Once registered, they may use the mobile app, internet, or a toll-free number to pay for parking.

After setting up their account, customers can immediately begin using the system with their registered mobile device. Enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with MKE Park using a wireless handheld device, so customers should not worry if the meter does not change. Mobile app users may also choose to receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes prior to expiration of their parking session. Time limits on meters still apply and the MKE Park app will not allow users to purchase more time than allotted by the meters.
