Find parking near Union Square
Paying for parking near Union Square is easy
Union Square is a lively plaza and surrounding neighborhood in downtown San Francisco, known as one of the city's main shopping, hotel, and theater districts, with luxury stores, big-name brands, art galleries, and easy access to cable cars and other transit. As a historic gathering place dating back to pro-Union rallies during the Civil War, today it draws visitors for its central location, year-round events, and walkable streets that connect quickly to Chinatown, the Financial District, and major museums.
Driving here means dealing with dense downtown traffic, one-way streets, and limited metered spaces, many of which have strict time limits, commercial loading rules, or tow-away periods that can lead to multiple citations if signs are missed. Most visitors rely on garages and underground facilities around the square, which fill quickly at busy shopping and event times, making advance reservations for parking near Union Square a smart way to save time and reduce stress. Because parking regulations, rates, and enforcement can change, always review the latest information from official city and transportation sources before your visit.
