Our next #AskParkMobile question is from Allison in West Palm Beach. She asks, “I only need to park for 10 minutes, so why does the app make me pay for an hour?”
Another great question. So, Allison, we’re sorry you have to pay for time you’re not using. We don’t set the parking regulations for the city, so really that’s up to wherever you’re parking. Some places, they do only let you park for 5 minutes or 10 minutes, other places require you to park for 30 minutes or an hour. It’s just the individual parking policies for your location, for your city, for your garage.
So, unfortunately, we don’t control that. We just set it up so you can pay with the app, but the policies are actually set always on the local level with your local municipality or parking operator. So, sorry you have to maybe pay for some time you’re not using. Maybe, you know, run another errand and eat up that entire hour. That could be a good thing to do. So this has been our Ask Me Anything session.
If you have a question, make sure to go on Twitter and use the #AskParkMobile, and we’ll see you next time.
