People parking in Westwood Village will be able to easily pay for parking using the ParkMobile app
ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, announced today the launch of new service in the Westwood Village area of Los Angeles. This is part of an expanded relationship with LADOT to improve parking around the city.
People in Westwood Village will see new ParkMobile stickers on all 468 single space parking meters in the area. To pay for parking using the ParkMobile app, a user simply enters the zone number posted on the sticker, chooses the duration and touches the “start parking” button. ParkMobile will send alerts when the parking session is about to expire so a user can extend time right from the app.
From Monday, October 29th to Saturday, November 3rd, ParkMobile is offering one free parking session to anyone who uses the app to pay for parking in Westwood Village. To take advantage of this offer, enter the promo code “WESTWOOD” before starting the parking session. You can get more information on the free parking promotion here.
ParkMobile continues to expand its presence in the Los Angeles area. The service is currently available in several locations around the city, including Hollywood, Downtown and on the campuses of UCLA, USC, and Loyola Marymount University. ParkMobile also offers event parking reservations for the Los Angeles Memorial Colosseum and the Greek Theater.
“We are always looking for innovative ways to improve the parking experience in Los Angeles,” said Ken Husting, LADOT Principal Transportation Engineer. “This program with ParkMobile gives people an easy way to pay so they can skip the meter and instead pay with their phone.”
“We are excited to expand our presence in the Los Angeles area,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO of ParkMobile. “We already have a large and growing base of ParkMobile users in the city. This expansion into Westwood gives those people smarter parking options as they drive around town.”
